#1 I think a better word should be used instead of eat and attack.. phages don't eat bacteria, they simply insert their genetic material into the cell and use that cell to carry on their own reproduction or replication.

#1 It looks amazing, but are they really sure that's an ice covered world ? I mean, you'd think a planet sized ice cap would give it a whiter appearance. This image indicates the brown's prevalent. Plus it's hard to imagine where the dust would come from on an ice world. I bet they're going to find it's actually some sort of whiteish rock or layer with major canyons that show the moon's innards (probably of rocky origin)

#3 Well, of course we're not witnessing something that happened billions of years ago, and it certainly is not a big bang :-)

#2 How can we witness something that happened billions of years ago from an object that's a couple of AU's away ?

#2 Where in the full-res picture are you seeing these artifacts? I've eye-scanned the image several times and I just can't see them. I'd love to see proof that there's alien life living in the rings of Saturn!

#1 Does it look to anyone else that there is a repeating artifact (on the full-res picture)? I saw 3 dots that looked like a shallow triangle, but that made me notice similar 3 dots scattered throughout the picture. Knowing that this is a mosaic, could there be something either in front of the Cassini camera or behind the rings? The 3 dot pattern is not identical in all cases.

Another explanation could be that larger debris is getting snagged into the rings in triples for some other reason.

(I guess a final explanation could be that the alien ships that harvest from the rings have 3 larger pods that are interconnected by invisible energy beams or very thin struts).
